Hand-embroider your clothes.

Turn your everyday wardrobe into wearable art.

No “talent” or perfection needed—just your hands, your style, and my guidance.

Top 4 reasons I hear for why it’s “too hard” to embroider clothes.

  • I will teach you five methods that work on any colour fabric.

  • I’ll show you the perfect stitches to use for those small areas.

  • I’ll show you my own clothes that I’ve worn and washed for years and teach you how to care for yours.

  • Nope. We start small, make steady progress—and you’ll be surprised how quickly it grows.

I’ve offered garment embroidery tuition to a small handful of students in the past and now I’m ready to bring this out as a full course.

Course take-aways.

You’ll learn:

  • How to stitch directly onto your clothes without fear.

  • Where to place embroidery for maximum impact—whether you prefer delicate and subtle or bold and brilliant, you’ll learn to match the design to both your garment and your personal style.

  • How to mix and match colours with confidence—especially choosing shades that sing with the clothes you’re working on.

  • My favourite tips to keep your stitches neat, secure and wearable for years.

  • Quick stitch techniques to easily embellish edges of garments without the need for patterns.

You’ll leave with:

  • At least one uniquely embroidered piece you’ll be proud (and excited) to wear.

  • A clear understanding of how to confidently choose and use colours to suit your own clothes, aesthetic, and flair.

  • A collection of versatile patterns to keep creating.

  • The know-how and creative freedom to embellish anything you want—jeans, jackets, shirts, even undies if you fancy!

Most importantly?

You’ll walk away feeling creatively lit up, totally capable, and full of ideas. You’ll never look at a plain linen top the same way again.

Course Outline Week by week.

Click on each week to see what we’ll be covering at the class meetings.

  • We start with Stick’n’Stitch patterns—perfect for absolute beginners or anyone wanting to ease in. You’ll learn how to prepare your garments, position your patterns, and start embellishing simple areas like cuffs, pockets, collars or hems. Expect instant wins and satisfying results.

  • We will explore design placement for maximum impact, depending on your garment’s shape and your own style. Learn about design decisions so your project doesn’t end up overwhelming and begin exploring pattern transfer methods so you can stitch onto clothes of any colour.

  • Time to dive into colour! You’ll explore how to choose embroidery thread colours that complement your clothing making sure your newly stitched clothes enhance other accessories you have in your wardrobe.

  • We’ll graduate to developing your personal garment-embroidery style, one that creates impact based on your skill level, preferred stitches and style.

  • You’ll finalise one full embroidered piece, or more! We'll also cover finishing techniques, garment care, and ways to keep going beyond the course with confidence.
