Making Zen 2025
Online Retreat 27-31 October
“Zen Stitching” is holding another Making Zen Online Retreat this October, and I’m going to be a presenting artist.
If you haven’t taken part in Making Zen before, buckle up.
This textile-arts-focused retreat gathers nearly 30 talented artists to host one workshop each over the course of five days, and those workshops are totally free for anyone to watch for 24 hours. It’s an incredible opportunity to get inspired, connect with new friends and artists, and improve your craft!
With a lineup of 30 artists, you can be sure that a wide range of topics will be covered.

In my “Embroidered Jeans” workshop I will take you through all the steps for hand embroidering your own jeans.

On the 6th October I will be sending out a special link for enrolments via the newsletter. And don’t worry, if you’re reading this it means you’re on the mailing list so you won’t miss out. Plus I’ll be sending it a few times for the sleepy heads, haha!

GET YOUR JEANS/PANTS READY
You can start rummaging through your wardrobe now to find a suitable pair of jeans or pants.
If you’re stitching on jeans they can have a little bit of stretch in them just as long as the bottom of the pant leg is not too narrow. Mine were about 24cm wide in the bottom of the pant leg.
You can also embroider linen or cotton pants, again with a bit of width in the bottom of the pant leg.
