The Wednesday Tribe

A place to hand make things that are unmistakably yours.

In your time. In your style. With my guidance.

Every home tells a story and has an essence. And scattered around these cherished homes are often things made by human hands. Things that carry stories, memories and the identities of the people who made them, and the people you love.

Welcome to your monthly creative practice.

——————————————

Each month brings a new design to inspire you, a magazine to enjoy, a live gathering to look forward to, and a community of women who understand exactly what it means to need this time for yourself.

The Wednesday Tribe is a creative home you belong to without pressure or expectation to finish anything ‘on time’.

—————————

Your monthly pattern arrives in your inbox every month. Some months you'll stitch it immediately.

Some months it will go into your library and wait for the right project or the right mood.

Both are completely fine.

You’ll build your embroidery skills, get ideas, inspiration, and grow a library of beautiful patterns that's entirely yours.

—————————

I had a personal reason for starting this tribe…

If we haven’t met before, hello…
my name is Kasia.

—————————

My grandmothers, great-grandmothers, aunts and women in the Polish village where I grew up, made many things by hand. Not as hobbies, but out of necessity and an honouring and caring for the few things they owned.

There was a natural authenticity that we now long for in our modern digital world. Their homes and handmade treasures connected generations, spoke of their values and told stories.

I believe we all have a longing to fill our homes and lives with items that are unmistakably, irreplaceably ours. And we all want to be remembered, appreciated and seen.

That’s why behind every lovingly hand crafted item is a person saying:

“I was here. I cared about beauty.
I made this. This is who I am”.

—————————

Hand embroidery is the craft of The Wednesday Tribe.

—————————

This is your invitation to create things that matter. Things you'll pass down and things that express who you are and what you value.

We gather in live sessions to stitch, share and connect. There are three time zones to choose from each month; Sydney, London and NY. Replays available each month.

When we'll meet

You can join whichever time session suits you best — or come to all three.

🧵 7:30pm – 8:30pm London

🧵 8:00pm – 9:00pm New York

Our Zoom sessions are always on the first Wednesday of every month.

You'll receive the exact date in your monthly email. Each session is recorded so you can re-watch it or catch up if you missed it.

I’ve saved the best till last!

OK I’ve gone on and on about the tribe, but of course I want you to hear it from the current members who are loving being here.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely. My patterns are designed with clear, step-by-step instructions and I always show variations so you can choose how simple or detailed you want to go. If you can thread a needle you can do this. And if you can't thread a needle yet, I'll teach you that too!

  • Yes. Every month you'll receive a full list of materials you'll need for that month's project. The email is sent out on the Monday before our Wednesday Zoom session, but you do not have to have everything ready in time for the Zoom session. Most people just come along, get the full picture of the project and then go off and stitch in their own time.

  • I always show alternatives and encourage you to use what you already have. Part of the joy of embroidery is making it your own; your colours, your threads, your version of the design.

  • Absolutely. Every live Zoom session is recorded and the replay link is sent to all members. You can watch and rewatch in your own time, as many times as you like. You'll never miss out just because life gets in the way.

  • Your monthly PDF includes full instructions on how to transfer the pattern onto your fabric. I use and recommend a heat-erasable pen, which makes the whole process clean and simple. But there are other methods as well. I'll walk you through it.

  • The Wednesday Tribe opens for new members once a quarter for a limited window, then doors close again. If you're reading this, the doors are open right now. If you're not sure whether to join, this is your moment.

  • When you join, you only have access to the projects moving forward for the time of your membership.

However, if you purchase an annual membership you will receive special access to a library of 20 designs from my collection over the years.

  • Monthly members can cancel anytime by logging into their account on my website. Once cancelled, no further payments will be taken.

If you have a six month or annual membership, your payment covers that full period and is non-refundable, but you'll retain full access to your membership until the end of your paid term.

If you have any trouble at all just email me directly and I'll sort it out for you straight away.

  • Each month's blog post is exclusive to Wednesday Tribe members and has a comments section where you can ask questions and connect with other stitchers. I also have a warm and welcoming Facebook group where members share their finished projects and works in progress.

  • The Wednesday Tribe isn't a course with a finish line; it's a creative home you belong to. There's nothing to keep up with and no one is checking whether your project is done.

Some months you'll stitch the pattern the moment it arrives. Some months it will sit quietly in your folder waiting for the right moment. That's not falling behind, that's just life.

What you're building here is a rhythm, a community, and a growing library of beautiful patterns that are entirely yours to stitch whenever the time is right.
