Wool on Linen Embroidery Workshop

  • Kasia Jacquot Home Studio Hunters Hill NSW Australia (map)

Texture, softness and thick tactile results are what students get out of this class. Wool embroidery is a beautiful and slow craft and Kasia teaches her unique techniques and supplies yarn which she carefully sources from independent yarn makers. The results are stunning but are simple to apply. Students will not be using traditional crewel or tapestry wool and instead will use both ply and single spun yarn for different effects and will learn a variety of both filling and outline stitches. Perfect for those who have done some embroidery previously. This is not recommended for absolute beginners.

Materials included in workshop fee:

  • 6 Inch embroidery hoop

  • Panel of high grade linen

  • 2 embroidery needles

  • variety of different yarns selected by Kasia

  • pattern

  • instructions ( to continue with at home)

More information will be emailed to students one week before the course.
