February 2026
Hello my stitchy soulmates!
We’re into month 2 pretty quickly because of course we started the January pattern quite late in January. From now on we will have a full month between our projects.
Phew!
First up I just wanted to say that I’m still figuring things out and finding the best way for us to be together.
For now, this blog is where we can leave comments and ask questions.
I’m still looking for the best way to share member projects. Especially because I’ve already had quite a few emailed to me!
If you’re reading this and have not received your links to the patterns and Zoom sessions please email me right away and I will send them to you again.
Rrrrright!! Let’s dive into this month’s design!
You might have noticed that I’m presenting you the monthly instructions and photos in a magazine style.
That is purely to satisfy my own secret fantasy of having my own magazine, plus utilising my actual profession as a graphic designer. I’m hoping to grow this monthly magazine and make it a real fabulous issue by the end of this year.
For now it’s pretty basic, but it has the two most essential components:
Clear instructions
Pretty pictures
Now I was only going to do one colour style, haha! As if!
The plan was to keep things simple and doable. I’m flat out until about mid April so I said to myself: “you know it’s ok to just do one colour style for this month”
Two minutes later I was selecting my second colour group.
I also started selecting a third… but seriously… I need to calm down.
I might show you my third selection in the Zoom session
This colourful version is done using my signature colours which I thought would be a good choice as many of you have these colours at home from having done a few of my kits and patterns. If you’re not familiar with my signature colours, I tend to use the same eleven colours for most of my patterns. Makes swapping between patterns easy as the colours of my designs often repeat themselves. Here are the colours if you’d like to know:
red 22
orange 976
pink 223
purple 3835
yellow 3820 (new family member)
blue 503
navy 930
green 987
olive 734
brown 839
ECRU
oops! Just noticed the Olive 734 is missing from this pic. But you get the gist! Colourful, yet earthy. Vibrant without being harsh.
In this month’s magazine I wrote about those little vintage embroidered table linens in the photo below. You’ll have to check out the magazine to find out about them. I thought I would include the photo here though because it just looks like happiness and sunshine and like everything is going to be ok with the world!
I’m smiling from ear to ear just looking at it! ☺️
Blending colours.
This month we will also look at how to blend your own colours. The design features some blended colours and I made a video on how to easily separate strands and put them together into the colour combinations you want.
Click on the video below to watch it now.
I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday!
Remember if you can’t make it, the recording links will be emailed to you. And like I said earlier, if you don’t receive them from me by Friday this week, please email me.
I don’t want anyone missing out.
It’s too much fun!
🥳
